Your light will shine when all else fades.

it felt so great to be back at clearview this morning. my week just doesn't seem right if i have to miss a sunday morning service there. clearview is home. my heart is at clearview.

jeff continued our series from the book of mark today. he taught from mark 14:43-65. jeff talked about how often we try to defend or justify ourselves. man, how often i do that. instead of owning up to my sin, i make excuses. my pride gets in the way. jeff talked about how when Jesus was mocked, He took it. He was spit upon, struck. He took it. He took it upon Himself. He didn't justify Himself. He was silent.

" therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God"
+ hebrews 12:1-2

we sang holy by matt redman at church this morning. the church was full of praise. i had no fear to sing at the top of my lungs. it was powerful. i sang from the inside out by kristian stanfill on the way home from dress shopping with han and kel. we're singing it at club tomorrow.

Your light will shine when all else fades. this lyric can be found in both of these songs. pretty neat!
